Poetry (Day 333): Courage

Courage

Physical courage
is a thing of the now.
As fickle as the wind,
it can come and go.
A smile from a stranger.
Melting snow.

Moral courage is built
one day at a time,
one inequity at a time.
It is the river that flows
from the mountains
to the sea
and waters the fields
of your soul.
