Poetry (Day 206): Shadow

Shadow

You have your back
to me, but your
shadow lays it’s head
on my shoulder.
And I remember
how it used to be.

I dread the moment
when the light fades
and there is nothing
of you left for me
at all.

    • Thanks, Frank. I struggled with this for a while, trying to work out if the shadow was the past or the future and how that would work and… it wouldn’t. Not that I could get my head around anyway. 😦

And as punishment for commenting, you’ve gotten yourself in the draw for the paperback. 🙂 (And I really should start working on the illustrations for that…)
