   My Own Worst Enemy

I want a word with SunTzu.
I have been sitting by the river,
through days and nights,
waiting for the body
of my enemy to float by.

But all I have seen
in the cold, clear water
is my own reflection
scowling back at me,
while my enemy eats ice-cream
with the woman I love.
