Poetry (Day 123): Black

When clouds fill the sky
from end to end
and the rain is coming down,
it doesn’t help
to tell her
that it is just
her point of view.

Don’t tell her that
if she stands somewhere else,
or looks at the world
from a different angle,
she will discover
that the sun is still shining
above the clouds.

Don’t fight the darkness.
Feel the wind
on your face
and the rain
on your skin.

Hold her hand
as she rides the storm.
