Australian Crawl

More poetry. I actually stopped writing poetry years ago. Wish I still wrote it, in a way, but can’t get my head around it any more. And I think I have always been a terrible judge of my own poetry– more so than with my other writing. Oh well.

Australian Crawl

A solitary cloud crawling

across the ocean of the sky.

Trailing edge flutters

in a six beat kick.

It body-surfs a wave

of wind

all the way to the mountains.

And there it stops, gasping and dripping,

on the shore.
